    In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Gottipati Ravikumar of TDP won in this constituency beating Bachina Chenchu Garataiah of YSRCP by a margin of 12,991 votes which was 6.26% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Gottipati Ravikumar (Bujji) of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Venkatesh Karanam of TDP by a margin of 4,235 votes which was 2.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gottipati Ravikumar of INC won this seat defeating Karanam Bala Rama Krishna Murthy of TDP by a margin of 15,764 votes which was 9.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
