    In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Kona Raghupathi of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Annam Satish Prabhakar of TDP by a margin of 15,199 votes which was 9.88% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kona Raghupathi of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Annam Satish Prabhakar of TDP by a margin of 5,813 votes which was 4.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gade Venkata Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Chirala Govardhana Reddy of TDP by a margin of 1,363 votes which was 1.11% of the total votes polled for the seat.
