    In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Buggana Raja Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Kambalapadu Ediga Prathap of TDP by a margin of 35,516 votes which was 20.35% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Buggana Rajendranath of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Kambalapadu Ediga Prathap of TDP by a margin of 11,152 votes which was 6.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kambalapadu Ediga Krishna Murthy of TDP won this seat defeating Kotla Sujathamma of INC by a margin of 4,651 votes which was 3.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
