    In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Nagireddy Tippala of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Pawan Kalyan Konidala of JnP by a margin of 16,753 votes which was 8.41% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Palla Srinivas Rao of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Nagireddy Tippala of YSRCP by a margin of 21,712 votes which was 11.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chinthalapudi Venkataramaiah of PRAP won this seat defeating Nagi Reddy Tippala of IND by a margin of 17,907 votes which was 11.66% of the total votes polled for the seat.
