    In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Bhagya Lakshmi Kottagulli of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Eswari Giddi of TDP by a margin of 42,804 votes which was 30.44% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Eswari Giddi of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Goddeti Demudu of CPI by a margin of 26,141 votes which was 20.45% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Pasupuleti Balaraju of INC won this seat defeating Goddeti Demudu of CPI by a margin of 587 votes which was 0.53% of the total votes polled for the seat.
