    In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Kokkiligadda Rakshana Nidhi of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Kothapalli Samuel Jawahar of TDP by a margin of 10,835 votes which was 6.17% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kokkiligadda Rakshana Nidhi of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Nallagatla Swamy Das of TDP by a margin of 1,676 votes which was 1.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dirisam Padma Jyothi of INC won this seat defeating Swamy Das Nallagatla of TDP by a margin of 265 votes which was 0.18% of the total votes polled for the seat.
