In 2014, Chowna Mein of INC was the winner in this seat beating Bida Taku of PPA by a margin of 1,179 votes which was 8.83% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chowna Mein of INC won this seat defeating James Techi Tara of NCP by a margin of 2,946 votes which was 24.34% of the total votes polled for the seat.
