In 2014, Tapang Taloh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Ojing Tasing of BJP by a margin of 606 votes which was 5.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Tapang Taloh of INC won this seat defeating Kaling Jerang of NCP by a margin of 2,781 votes which was 25.58% of the total votes polled for the seat.
