    There were a total of 2,49,362 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Garthapuri Assembly election, of which 1,21,232 were male, 1,28,091 female and 39 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,29,909 registered voters, of which 1,21,232 were male, 1,17,762 female and 37 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,26,859 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,12,357 were male, 1,14,480 female and 22 of the third gender.     In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Mohammed Mustafa Shaik of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Mohammed Naseer of TDP by a margin of 22,091 votes which was 13.68% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Mohammad Musthafa Shaik of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Maddali Giridhara Rao of TDP by a margin of 3,151 votes which was 2.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Shaik Mastan Vali of INC won this seat defeating Shaik Showkat of PRAP by a margin of 9,012 votes which was 7.6% of the total votes polled for the seat.
