    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Muhammed Izhar Asfi of AIMIM won in this constituency beating Mujahid Alam of JDU by a margin of 36143 votes which was 22.37% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Mujahid Alam of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Akhtarul Iman of AIMIM by a margin of 18843 votes which was 13.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Akhatarul Iman of RJD won this seat defeating of JDU by a margin of 9025 votes which was 8.76% of the total votes polled for the seat.
