      In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Pramod Kumar Sinha of BJP won in this constituency beating Rambabu Prashad Yadav of INC by a margin of 36923 votes which was 20.79% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ajay Kumar Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Suresh Kumar of RJD by a margin of 3169 votes which was 1.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Ajay Kumar Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Raj Nandan Rai of LJP by a margin of 10117 votes which was 8.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
