8th Bihar Vidhan Sabha Elections
The Bihar Legislative Assembly, also known as the Bihar Vidhan Sabha, comprises 243 constituencies. Each constituency elects one Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), making a total of 243 elected representatives. This structure has been in place since the creation of the state of Jharkhand in 2000, which led to the reduction from 324 to 243 seats in Bihar .
The upcoming 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to be held by October–November 2025, where all 243 seats will be contested
