Veteran JD(U) leader and long-time associate of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shrawon Kumar is contesting from the Nalanda constituency. Shrawon Kumar has served as an MLA from Nalanda, which is Nitish Kumar’s home district, since 1995. At present, he holds important ministerial portfolios in the state cabinet including rural development and parliamentary affairs. He also serves as the chief whip of the JD(U) in the legislative assembly.
