In 2014, Narbir Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Rakesh Daultabad of INLD by a margin of 18,132 votes which was 8.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dharam Pal of INC won this seat defeating Rakesh of IND by a margin of 11,385 votes which was 7.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Rakesh Daultabad of IND had a vote share of 47.06% in this seat. In 2014, Narbir Singh of BJP secured a vote share of 39.82% in this constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dharam Pal of INC got a vote share of 34.59% in Badshahpur.
