    In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Jagarnath Mahto of JMM won in this constituency beating Yashoda Devi of AJSUP by a margin of 34,288 votes which was 18.02% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jagarnath Mahto of JMM was the winner in this seat beating Lalchand Mahto of BJP by a margin of 32,481 votes which was 18.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jagarnath Mahto of JMM won this seat defeating Damodar Prasad Mahto of JDU by a margin of 13,668 votes which was 13.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.
