In 2014, Dr Neera Yadav of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Annapurna Devi of RJD by a margin of 13,525 votes which was 6.83% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Annapurna Devi of RJD won this seat defeating Ramesh Singh of JVM by a margin of 17,283 votes which was 11.73% of the total votes polled for the seat.
