    In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Jai Prakash Bhai Patel of BJP won in this constituency beating Nirmal Mahto of AJSUP by a margin of 2,062 votes which was 00.86% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jai Prakash Bhai Patel of JMM was the winner in this seat beating Kumar Mahesh Singh of BJP by a margin of 7,012 votes which was 3.07% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Teklal Mahto of JMM won this seat defeating Kumar Mahesh Singh of INC by a margin of 7,978 votes which was 4.73% of the total votes polled for the seat.
