    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sharadendu Tiwari of BJP won in this seat defeating Ajay Arjun Singh of INC by a margin of 6,402 which was 4.05% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.47% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Ajay Arjun Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Sharadendu Tiwari of BJP by a margin of 19,356 votes which was 13.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 48.92% in the seat.
