In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sushil Kumar Tiwari (Indu Bhaiya) of BJP won in this seat defeating Bharat Singh Yadav of IND by a margin of 41,733 which was 22.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.14% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Susheel Kumar Tiwari (Indu Bhaiya) of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rupendra Patel of INC by a margin of 27,954 votes which was 18.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.32% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Narendra Tripathi of BJP won this seat beating Vijay Kanti Patel of INC by a margin of 15,120 votes which was 13.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 37.27% in the seat.
