    In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mahesh Sambhajiraje Shinde of SS won in this constituency beating Shashikant Jaywantrao Shinde of NCP by a margin of 6,299 votes which was 03.08% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Shinde Shashikant Jaywantrao of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Kanase Vijayrao Baburao of INC by a margin of 47,247 votes which was 26.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Shashikant Jaywantrao Shinde of NCP won this seat defeating Dr Shalinitai Vasantrao Patil of IND by a margin of 31,753 votes which was 19.59% of the total votes polled for the seat.
