    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Sunanda Das of BJD won in this constituency beating Biswaranjan Mallick of BJP by a margin of 4,062 votes which was 2.7% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Debasis Nayak of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Biswaranjan Mallick of IND by a margin of 7,173 votes which was 5.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Debasis Nayak of BJD won this seat defeating Naba Kishore Samal of INC by a margin of 11,767 votes which was 10.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.
