    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Raghunath Gomango of BJD won in this constituency beating Purusottam Gomango of INC by a margin of 6,270 votes which was 4.22% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Trinath Gomango of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Purusattam Gomango of INC by a margin of 7,386 votes which was 5.16% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ramamurty Mutika of BJD won this seat defeating Sisir Kumar Gamang of INC by a margin of 18,749 votes which was 17.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
