    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Dhruba Charan Sahoo of BJD won in this constituency beating Anshuman Mohanty of INC by a margin of 18,408 votes which was 10.68% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Anshuman Mohanty of INC was the winner in this seat beating Dhruba Ch Sahoo of BJD by a margin of 5,429 votes which was 3.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Alekh Kumar Jena of BJD won this seat defeating Nalini Kanta Mohanty of INC by a margin of 4,335 votes which was 3.28% of the total votes polled for the seat.
