    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Premananda Nayak of BJD won in this constituency beating Dhanurjaya Sidu of BJP by a margin of 5,920 votes which was 3.35% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Bedabyasa Nayak of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Dhanurjaya Sidu of INC by a margin of 13,954 votes which was 8.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Premananda Nayak of BJD won this seat defeating Brundaban Naik of INC by a margin of 17,478 votes which was 13.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
