    In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Samdup Lepcha of SKM won in this constituency beating Tshering Wangdi Lepcha of SDF by a margin of 584 votes which was 8.69% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Tshering Wangdi Lepcha of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Samdup Lepcha of SKM by a margin of 557 votes which was 9.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Tshering Wangdi Lepcha of SDF won this seat defeating Anil Lachenpa of INC by a margin of 779 votes which was 15.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
