    In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Masthan K S of DMK won in this constituency beating Rajendiran P of PMK by a margin of 35803 votes which was 17.5% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Masthan K S of DMK was the winner in this seat beating Govindasamy A of AIADMK by a margin of 22057 votes which was 10.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Ganesh Kumar.A of PMK won this seat defeating Sivalingam. R of DMDK by a margin of 1811 votes which was 1.04% of the total votes polled for the seat.
