In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Agri Krishnamurthy S S of AIADMK won in this constituency beating Sekaran K V of DMK by a margin of 9725 votes which was 4.84% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sekaran.K.V of DMK was the winner in this seat beating Murugan.M of AIADMK by a margin of 8273 votes which was 4.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Jayasudha.L of AIADMK won this seat defeating Edirolimanian.G of PMK by a margin of 28545 votes which was 17.12% of the total votes polled for the seat.
