Sholur (TP) and Udhagamandalam (M). Coonoor Taluk (Part) Ketti (TP).

This constituency covers an approximate area of 896 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Udhagamandalam is: 11°23'36.6"N 76°40'32.2"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 67.82%, while it was 69.14% in 2016, and 71.29% in 2011.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Ganesh R of INC won in this constituency beating Bhojarajan M of BJP by a margin of 5348 votes which was 3.83% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Ganesh, R. of INC was the winner in this seat beating Vinoth of AIADMK by a margin of 10418 votes which was 7.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Budhichandhiran of AIADMK won this seat defeating Ganesh.R of INC by a margin of 7545 votes which was 6.15% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Ganesh R of INC had a vote share of 46.9% in this seat. In the 2016 Assembly elections, Ganesh, R. of INC got a vote share of 48.34% , In the 2011 Assembly elections, Budhichandhiran of AIADMK got a vote share of 50.22% in Udhagamandalam.
