      In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Akhtarul Iman of AIMIM won in this constituency beating Saba Zafar of JDU by a margin of 52515 votes which was 28.45% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Abdul Jalil Mastan of INC was the winner in this seat beating Saba Zafar of BJP by a margin of 51997 votes which was 30.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Saba Zafar of BJP won this seat defeating of INC by a margin of 18828 votes which was 15.1% of the total votes polled for the seat.
