    In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sushil Kumar Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Upendra Prasad of HAMS by a margin of 70,552 votes which was 3.31% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.72% in 2019 in this seat.

    In 2014, Sushil Kumar Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Nikhil Kumar of INC by a margin of 66,347 votes which was 8.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 39.16% in the seat.

    In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Sushil Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat beating Shakil Ahmad Khan of RJD by a margin of 72,058 votes which was 12.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JDU had a vote share of 43.48% in the seat.
