    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Leshi Singh of JDU won in this constituency beating Dilip Kumar Yadav of RJD by a margin of 33594 votes which was 16.79% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Leshi Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Shiv Shankar Thakur Allias Shankar Azad of BLSP by a margin of 30291 votes which was 16% of the total votes polled in the constituency.
