    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Er. Shashi Bhushan Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Ramchandra Sahni of VIP by a margin of 3447 votes which was 2.02% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramchandra Sahni of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Om Prakash Choudhary of RJD by a margin of 7756 votes which was 4.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ramchandra Sahani of BJP won this seat defeating Vijay Prasad Gupta of RJD by a margin of 12379 votes which was 10.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
