    There were a total of 2,06,271 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Ambala Cantt Assembly constituency, of which 1,07,608 were male, 98,652 female and 11 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 1,96,870 registered voters, of which 1,04,774 were male, 92,090 female and 6 from the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 1,74,704 registered voters in this constituency, of which 93,142 were male and 81,562 female. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 1,47,434 which included 79,722 male and 67,712 female voters.

    In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Anil Vij of BJP won in this constituency beating Chitra Sarwara of IND by a margin of 20,165 votes which was 16.56% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Anil Vij of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Ch Nirmal Singh of INC by a margin of 15,462 votes which was 12.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Anil Vij of BJP won this seat defeating Nirmal Singh of INC by a margin of 6,338 votes which was 6.34% of the total votes polled for the seat.
