Pehowa shares its borders with six other Assembly constituencies. Other Haryana Assembly constituencies adjacent to Pehowa are: Ambala City, Shahbad, Thanesar, Guhla, Kaithal, Pundri. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Punjab.

In 2014, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu of INLD was the winner in this seat beating Jai Bhagwan Sharma ( D D ) of BJP by a margin of 9,347 votes which was 7.17% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Harmohinder Singh of INC won this seat defeating Jaswinder Singh of INLD by a margin of 4,080 votes which was 3.83% of the total votes polled for the seat.
