    This constituency covers an approximate area of square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 23°46'33.6"N 85°14'51.0"E.

    In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Amba Prasad of INC won in this constituency beating Roshan Lal Choudhary of AJSUP by a margin of 31,514 votes which was 14.07% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Nirmala Devi of INC was the winner in this seat beating Roshan Lal Chaudhary of AJSU by a margin of 411 votes which was 0.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Yogendra Saw of INC won this seat defeating Loknath Mahto of BJP by a margin of 1,364 votes which was 0.91% of the total votes polled for the seat.
