    There were a total of 3,10,343 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Gomia Assembly constituency, of which 1,58,511 were male, 1,51,831 female and 1 of the third gender.     Assembly constituency no.34. Gomia comprises of the following areas of Bokaro district in the North Jharkhand region of Jharkhand: Gomia police station and Petarbar police station (excluding Gram Panchayats Champi, Rohar, Chando, Pichhri, Angwali and Chalkari) in Bermo sub-division.

    This constituency covers an approximate area of 1030.61 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 23°43'44.0"N 85°47'03.8"E.

    A total of four Assembly constituencies in the state of Jharkhand share borders with Gomia constituency, which are: Ramgarh, Mandu, Dumri, Bermo. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Purulia district of West Bengal.

    According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this Jharkhand constituency was 70.62%.     In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Lambodar Mahto of AJSUP won in this constituency beating Babita Devi of JMM by a margin of 10,937 votes which was 05.77% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Yogendra Prasad of JMM was the winner in this seat beating Madhav Lal Singh of BJP by a margin of 37,514 votes which was 21.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Madhav Lal Singh of INC won this seat defeating Yogendra Prasad of AJSU by a margin of 8,303 votes which was 6.16% of the total votes polled for the seat.
