    There were a total of 3,78,166 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency, of which 1,91,746 were male, 1,86,392 female and 28 of the third gender.     In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Banna Gupta of INC won in this constituency beating Devendra Nath Singh of BJP by a margin of 22,583 votes which was 11.73% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Saryu Roy of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Banna Gupta of INC by a margin of 10,517 votes which was 5.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Banna Gupta of INC won this seat defeating Saryu Roy of BJP by a margin of 3,297 votes which was 2.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
