    In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Annadurai C N of DMK won in this seat defeating Agri Krishnamurthy S S of AIADMK by a margin of 3,04,187 votes which was 26.41% of the total votes cast for the seat. DMK had a vote share of 57.85% in 2019 in this seat.

    In 2014, Vanaroja R of AIADMK emerged victorious in this seat beating Annadurai C N of DMK by a margin of 1,68,606 votes which was 15.81% of the total votes polled in the constituency. AIADMK secured a vote share of 46.96% in the seat.
