    In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ram Shiromani of BSP won in this seat defeating Daddan Mishra of BJP by a margin of 5,320 votes which was 0.53% of the total votes cast for the seat. BSP had a vote share of 44.3% in 2019 in this seat.

    In 2014, Daddan Mishra of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Atiq Ahmad of SP by a margin of 85,913 votes which was 8.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 32.65% in the seat.
