    In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Adhikari Deepak (Dev) of TMC won in this seat defeating Bharati Ghosh of BJP by a margin of 1,07,973 votes which was 7.25% of the total votes cast for the seat. TMC had a vote share of 48.21% in 2019 in this seat.

    In 2014, Adhikari Deepak (Dev) of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Santosh Rana of CPI by a margin of 2,60,891 votes which was 19.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 50.17% in the seat.

    In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Gurudas Dasgupta of CPI won this seat beating Nure Alam Chowdhury of TMC by a margin of 1,47,184 votes which was 12.58% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPI had a vote share of 53.49% in the seat.
