    In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Locket Chatterjee of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Ratna De (Nag) of TMC by a margin of 73,362 votes which was 5.03% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.03% in 2019 in this seat.

    In 2014, Ratna De (Nag) of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Pradip Saha of CPM by a margin of 1,89,084 votes which was 14.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 45.54% in the seat.

    In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ratna De (Nag) of TMC won this seat beating Rupchand Pal of CPM by a margin of 81,523 votes which was 7.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC had a vote share of 49.37% in the seat.
