    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Mahendra Singh Sisodiya (Sanju Bhaiya) of INC won in this seat defeating Brijmohan Singh 'Azad' of BJP by a margin of 27,920 which was 17.96% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 41.54% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Mahendra Singh Sisodia (Sanju Bhaiya) of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Kanhaiya Lal Rameswar Agrawal of BJP by a margin of 18,561 votes which was 13.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 50.8% in the seat.

    In the 2008 elections, Kanhaiyalal Rameswar Agrawal of BJP won this seat beating Mahendra Singh Sisodia (Sanju Bhaiyo) of INC by a margin of 4,778 votes which was 5.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 30.96% in the seat.
