    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Lakhan Singh Yadav of INC won in this seat defeating Anoop Mishra of BJP by a margin of 12,130 which was 7.77% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 42.57% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Lakhan Singh Yadav of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Anoop Mishra of BJP by a margin of 6,548 votes which was 4.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 28.89% in the seat.
