    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of BJP won in this seat defeating Arun Subhashchandra of INC by a margin of 58,999 which was 28.79% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 60.25% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Mahendra Singh Chauhan of INC by a margin of 84,805 votes which was 46.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 69.99% in the seat.

    In the 2008 elections, Shiv Raj Shingh of BJP won this seat beating Mahesh Singh Rajput of INC by a margin of 41,525 votes which was 34.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 62.15% in the seat.
