    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Amar Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Sarswati Singh of INC by a margin of 59,248 which was 37.79% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 55.23% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Saraswati Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Jagannath Singh of BJP by a margin of 9,845 votes which was 7.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 40.99% in the seat.

    In the 2008 elections, Jagannath Singh of BJP won this seat beating Basanti of INC by a margin of 25,609 votes which was 25.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 48.25% in the seat.
