    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Gopilal Jatav of BJP won in this seat defeating Chandra Prakash Ahirwar (Banti) of INC by a margin of 33,667 which was 22.73% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.81% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Pannalal Shakya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Neeraj Nigam of INC by a margin of 45,111 votes which was 34.45% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 62.2% in the seat.

    In the 2008 elections, Rajendra Singh Saluja of BJSH won this seat beating Sangeeta Mohan Rajak of INC by a margin of 12,934 votes which was 15.96% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 36.45% in the seat.
