In 2013, Ram Singh Yadav of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Devendra Kumar Jain Patte Wale of BJP by a margin of 24,953 votes which was 15.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.91% in the seat.
