    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Baijnath Kushwah of INC won in this seat defeating Lal Singh Kewat of BSP by a margin of 8,737 which was 5.7% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 35.6% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Meharban Singh Rawat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Suresh Chaudhary of INC by a margin of 22,504 votes which was 16.61% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 41.29% in the seat.

    In the 2008 elections, Suresh Chowdhary of INC won this seat beating Meharwan Singh Rawat of BJP by a margin of 9,041 votes which was 8.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 36.06% in the seat.
