    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Dr Prabhuram Choudhary of INC won in this seat defeating Mudit Shejwar of BJP by a margin of 10,813 which was 6.12% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 50.7% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Dr Gourishankar Shejwar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Prabhuram Choudhary of INC by a margin of 20,936 votes which was 13.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.11% in the seat.

    In the 2008 elections, Dr Prabhuram Choudhry of INC won this seat beating Dr Gouri Sankar Shejwar of BJP by a margin of 9,197 votes which was 7.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 44.8% in the seat.
