    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sajjan Singh Verma of INC won in this seat defeating Rajendra Phulchand Verma of BJP by a margin of 9,818 which was 5.56% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 48.92% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Rajendra Phulchand Verma of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Arjun Verma of INC by a margin of 1,880 votes which was 1.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 45.54% in the seat.
